After being enthralled by the Hermetic Teachings, it was suggested I read this book as it was so good. A guide to spiritual growth using the seven steps of alchemical transformation. Alchemy: Turning base metal into gold, is in fact referring to enlightenment. Transforming the lead of self into the gold of spirit. The book gives hands-on techniques and exercises as well as a great history of alchemy and its evolution.
