I listened to the audiobook read by Merlin, after hearing him being interviewed on a podcast. He has the most beautiful turn of phrase and tone in his voice. Turning what one might expect out of a simple biology lesson, into the most sublimely elaborate, vibrant story of wonder, intricacies, discoveries and pure magic. As humans, we could learn so much from the world of fungi. I found this book truly inspiring. A real eye-opener.
